ACSM Prepares to Host 2014 Health and Fitness Summit

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) is preparing for its annual Health and Fitness Summit and Exposition, which will take place April 1-4, 2014, at the Hilton Atlanta in Georgia. The ACSM is encouraging all of its members and supporters to attend.

In its 18th year, the Health and Fitness Summit and Exposition is recognized as the leading fitness conference in the country. The 2014 event will offer a wide range of programs that cover topics such as nutrition, exercise program design, professional development, and sports medicine. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in workout sessions and to network with fellow fitness professionals.

With more than 45,000 members in 90 countries worldwide, the ACSM is dedicated to helping people live healthier lives. The organization represents 70 occupations in the field of sports medicine, including personal trainers, physicians, scholars, and students.

With an advanced certification in orthopaedic sports medicine, ACSM member Dr. Nimish Kadakia currently operates as a physician and general partner at Irvine Orthopaedic Associates in Irvine, California. Dr. Nimish Kadakia has served as an associate team physician for the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Minnesota Vikings, as well as for athletic teams at the college and high school levels.
